Black Maxi

I wore this dress to an all-you-can-eat hot pot dinner a couple weeks ago.  The dress is identical to the Striped Maxi I posted last month, however I noticed that the solid black made it appear more formal.  I opted for my "Shana" necklace to tone it down, but someone still ended up asking why I was dressed so formally.  I explained that it's actually a casual maxi, and I chose it because I wanted something loose-fitting so I could eat a lot, and I wanted a color that wouldn't get dirty if oils were to splash up.  They chuckled that so much thought seemed to be put into it, but for me it was just common sense.

Here is the dress with the necklace I originally intended.  All my hair sticks broke so please excuse the chopstick in my hair! lol

I'm back!  I've been so busy this month that I kept getting sick, and the thunderstorms haven't helped.  I have all the outfits I've worn to show you, starting with this LBD.

The heel less shoes are very comfortable, and they feel just like wedges.  Unfortunately the sole is pretty thin with no heel reinforcement, so after two wears the heel has already frayed.

Yesterday I went to Teahouse for a game night, then out to the bars.  I felt prepared for anything in this dress.  It's actually a casual cotton dress, but the burst of color and bodycon fit give it a dressier vibe.  I decided to stick with the floral theme for my earrings and shoes as well.

Here's another one of my favorite dresses.  I love bebe dresses that have nude lining because it creates a sexy illusion.  I have the sleeveless version in black, gold, fuchsia, and coral.  I recently purchased it in white and green as well, although I probably shouldn't keep them.  As you can tell, I have a bad habit of buying the same item in too many colors!!  For those of you who like color as much as I do, how do you choose?

This is my "casual" outfit for the bars.  While some might disagree, I consider it casual because of the cotton blend top and cargo shorts.  The shorts are great for holding my keys, credit card, and ID so I can dance all night without a purse in my hand.

I practically stalked eBay for months to get this top, but that's just how crazy I get for clothes I want!  On the flip side, I only tried on these boots because I was bored waiting outside the fitting room for a friend.  Several bystanders complimented them, and since they actually fit my thick legs, I decided to get them.  I'm so glad I bought them, and they turned out to be on sale for $25!  Don't you love those surprises at the register?

This week I'm going to post a few outfits for going out to bars, clubs, or cocktail parties.  To start, this is one of my all-time favorite dresses.  I also have it in black/nude, black/red, blue, and cream.  It is by bebe, one of my favorite brands of all-time.

These pictures were taken right before I headed out to an Upper Kirby Pub Crawl on Saturday.  I don't accessorize much with this dress because I don't want to detract from the sexy decolletage and the pretty lace trim.
